Oren got to meet Santa & Mrs. Claus at Aunt Barbara's. They came by the house when we were over there for the 7th Annual Gingerbread House Making Party. Oren told Santa that he wanted some toys that would help him learn and become a smart little boy. We'll see what Santa brings him...

Grandma Terrie sent Oren some fun toys that he's going to have a blast with. He is now a new owner of his very own fish tank with fishy's that he can look after. :) Thank you Grandma Terrie!

Cha Cha got Oren a musical fish tank to help him sleep at night in his crib. That should come in handy!! Thank you Cha Cha!

Uncle Leif got Oren a cute little Teddy Bear for him to drag around in the future once he's walking. I have a feeling this is going to be his best buddy.

Second Month - December

This month he is starting to actually play on this jungle playmat. Those legs are just a kickin' away when he gets excited. His vision is getting better and he's starting to understand that he can touch stuff and it moves. He is also looking at us more & more especially when we are talking to him.

Both Aunt Barbara & Cha Cha came for a week to take care of Oren while I went back to work. Thank you ladies!! He loved every second of you spoiling him. Lucky little guy.

First Month - November

Oren's First Bath

He actually loved it and didn't make a peep the whole time. Let's hope this lasts through his toddler years. Yeah right!

Surprisingly enough, he only cried once we took him out of the bath.

This is Oren at one month in his coming home from the hospital outfit. It's amazing how much he's grown in just one month. He's definitely putting on weight but I think it's his length that has had the most growth. Last time we were at the Dr.'s office they said he was 8lbs. & 7oz.

His first time in his swing. Look how small he is!! He didn't quite know what to think of it, but since then he has grown into it a little more & instantly falls asleep to the rocking.

Oren had a great 2 week pediatrician visit and he's gained 6oz. and grown another 1/4 in. since birth.

So far so good...

Yesterday, Oct. 7th, we had our 35 wk dr. appt. and she said everything was going right along schedule. She said that he's dropped already which is a wonderful sign. She still feels that he'll come around his due date, Nov. 8th, but if he does come early then maybe a week or so. She poked around to feel where he was & pushed on his head. He was a trooper & didn't take it out on me for her poking & prodding. She said that I need to come back in 2 wks and at that time she'll start doing internal sonograms to verify if any or how much dilation has happened. We're hoping that there will be at least 1-2cm of dilation by then. Yea! It's definitely getting more & more uncomfortable by the day. He is getting cramped in there & I'm feeling every inch of it. :)

Nursery **Updated**

I love this chair & it's going to make many long nights much more comfortable. No nursery is complete without a Sock monkey. :)

Baby Shower in my hometown of Austin,TX

Look at this wonderful place and all the people that came out to share in our joy for little Oren. The shower was on the rooftop deck of Central Market in downtown Austin.

The food and cake was incredible!

This was a beautiful place & a perfect shower spot. Thank you Adrienne, Jacque, Wendy, & Janice! You were amazing hostesses and I loved every minute of the shower. THANK YOU for all of your hard work and love.

It was such a perfect day for a baby shower and Mike looks comfortable and relaxed out on the patio.

The Reeds gave us this beautiful handmade blanket with a matching taggie toy.

They also shared with us lots of good books and some finger puppets.
